Brocoli

This plant has plenty of edible fleshy flower heads of green colour, arranged in a tree form on branches arising from a thick stalk, also edible. The big mass of flower heads is surrounded by leaves. It is very similar to its close relative, the cauliflower, but it is green. Broccoli is cool climate cultivation which does not suit hot summer climates. It grows better at an average daytime temperature between 18 and 23° C. The set of flowers, also called "head" of broccoli is green at the middle of the plant.
